The Occupational English Test (OET) opens a new test venue in India with EBEK Kottayam

OET, the English language test for healthcare professionals, will be available at a new venue from 07 July 2019. The new Kottayam test venue will be managed by EBEK Kottayam.

OET (the Occupational English Test) is an Australian-developed English language test that assesses the language proficiency of healthcare professionals. It provides assessment of all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – through test material designed to reflect real healthcare scenarios.

G. Sreekanthan, MD and Chairman of Ebek Kottayam said: We are very pleased to offer OET at Kottayam. This will enable health care professionals to register for the OET test in their own home town, thus eliminating the need and stress to travel long distances on test day. Ebek is also committed to providing academic support to institutions and candidates preparing for the OET test.

OET CEO Sujata Stead said she was delighted to welcome a new test venue in Southern India.

“India is a key market for our business, with healthcare professionals from the country being among the best in the world. The opening of a new test venue comes after a long and robust process that focusses on test security and ensuring our candidates have a positive test-day experience. I have every confidence that the new Ebek Kottayam venue will deliver on both points and we look forward to working with them further,” she said.
