The Occupational English Test (OET) opens a new test venue in Canada with ILSC Montreal

OET, the English language test for healthcare professionals, will be available at a new venue from August 2019. The new Montreal test venue will be managed by ILSC.

OET (the Occupational English Test) is an Australian-developed English language test that assesses the language proficiency of healthcare professionals. It provides assessment of all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – through test material designed to reflect real healthcare scenarios.

ILSC Director Daniel Lefort said, “ILSC Montreal has been selected by OET because of our extensive experience in administering language tests in a secure and compliant environment and because of our exceptional customer service.”

OET CEO, Sujata Stead, concurred, adding that the new venue would give more choice to candidates based in Canada where – to date – there had only been one OET test venue, in Vancouver.

Stead added: “We have been witnessing increased demand for OET in Canada as the test gains awareness world-wide. We hope to open additional test venues in Canada in the near future.”
