The Occupational English Test (OET) is now recognised by PRN Healthcare, giving healthcare professionals the opportunity to improve their career prospects.
PRN Healthcare is a well-established specialist healthcare agency located in Brisbane, which provides nursing staff to healthcare providers across Queensland.
International students studying nursing in Australia who obtain a minimum of C in all four OET subtests to prove English proficiency can be recruited to undertake work as an assistant nurse in Queensland.
Fay Samios, PRN Healthcare Director said: “We are especially proud to be one of the preferred providers of nursing staff to Queensland Health, Uniting Care Health, RSL Care, Blue Care and TAFE Queensland”.
She continued: “As part of the process of providing quality staff, we rely on valid English language testing for international staff. We prefer OET because we view it as being more relevant to healthcare than other testing systems.”
OET is an international English language test that assesses the language skills of healthcare professionals seeking to register and practice in an English-speaking environment. OET is recognised by Australian and New Zealand Immigration for visa purposes and healthcare regulators in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Namibia and Dubai for healthcare registration.
OET CEO, Sujata Stead, says: “We commend PRN Healthcare for their commitment to the healthcare sector”.
“Unlike other English tests, OET test materials are based on real healthcare scenarios so employers can be confident that successful candidates have the level of English communication skills required for safe and high quality patient care.”
