OET now in accepted in Dubai

By | Latest News | No Comments

OET is now accepted as proof of English proficiency in Dubai. In February, the Occupational English Test (OET) signed an agreement with the Dubai Government’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), giving healthcare professionals the opportunity to improve their career prospects in the UAE.

KHDA supports schools, universities, parents, students, educators, investors and government partners to create a high quality education sector focused on happiness and wellbeing.

Healthcare professionals who pass the healthcare-specific OET test to prove English proficiency will also be able to receive a statement of recognition showing compatibility with the UAE National Qualifications Framework (QFEmirates).

OET CEO, Sujata Stead, said: “We commend KHDA for their commitment to the healthcare sector in Dubai where an increasing number of medical tourists, and therefore healthcare professionals, communicate in English”.

“Unlike other English tests, OET test materials are based on real healthcare scenarios so employers can be confident that successful candidates have the level of English communication skills required for safe and high quality patient care.”

“We are delighted to strengthen the bonds between OET and the UAE and contribute to the high standards of healthcare in the region,” she concludes.
